Beach break...this is not the spot to look for big waves. Can
be fun in winter when the swell off Rottnest island is big, so some
gets through the outer reefs and reaches the beach.
Access and Setup:
Easy..Conventional access.
There's a good size car park and a beach kiosk where you can get snacks.
Showers and toilet facilities as well .
Park in the Car Park and walk through the dune path for about 50m and
you're there.
A longish beach reaching all the way to the artificial reef (Cables)...
with several banks available.
Best months of the year:
Winter only.
Not enough swell gets through the outer reefs in summer
Best swell directions:
SW/NW
Wind Direction:
Easterly/SE/NE
Tide:
Low to mid ...again, depends on swell and banks.
Where to find good food:
Theres a beach Kiosk with junk food available.
If you're looking for a good meal, head to Cottesloe or Fremantle.
