For the purposes of this guide, this surfing region stretches from the Keurbooms river mouth (near Plettenberg Bay) to J-Bay in the East.

The water is warm in summer, but can get darn cold in winter....(although nothing much beats the ice-cream headaches you'll get surfing the cold side of Cape Town!)
