How to find waves and use this resource to get your own
forecast:
Finding waves is easy:
Simply use the navigation on the left and go to

and
select your
country, then select the region and that page will
display all the waves listed in that geographic region so far.
What information do we provide?
We show a photo of the wave setup, and a video if available. We show
you how to get there..
( a map ... and whether you need a 4WD or not)
There's information about the best swell direction , wind direction,
tides and time of year that's best for that wave.
We also provide information about where to find good food after your
session! (based upon surfer feedback!)
How to add additional information and photos or
video footage to a spot that's already listed:
Easy! Go to the spot's page and follow the links and
the step by step upload instructions.
How do you submit your new
location and get your surf
forecast?
Also easy stuff!
- Click on the link we've provided below. That will
take you to "Google Maps" (the link opens a new window..so you won't
lose this page)
- Once you're in Google Maps, zoom close in and find your
wave.
Be as accurate as possible
- Once you've got the exact wave location ( - that's really
important for an accurate swell and wind forecast), RIGHT CLICK exactly
where you want to mark your spot.
- Then LEFT CLICK the "what's here?" link that appears
- That will leave a marker on the location you've chosen
- At the top left of your screen, you'll see a "latitude and
longitude" reading in the seach box next to where it says "Google Maps".
- COPY the number in the seach box
- Come back here and click the SUBMIT link - that will take
you to where you can enter the details of your surf spot.
Okay - Ready?
Go
to Google Maps
And once that's done....
Submit
your wave's coordinates
